Appointment scheduling and access control for public institutions
Comitas was commissioned to implement the TEDIS appointment scheduling system for a Swiss cantonal police force. This innovative web application takes appointment management to a new level by perfectly tailoring it to the needs of employees and external participants.
Efficiency for all employees
TEDIS enables employees to schedule appointments and interviews quickly and easily. Whether for single or recurring appointments, the interface is intuitive and comparable to Outlook. A particular highlight: Rooms can be reserved with just a few clicks based on predefined criteria such as size, location, or equipment. This ensures that every appointment is perfectly prepared, regardless of whether it's an internal meeting or a larger interview.
External participants
Depending on the type of person invited – whether staff, inmates, interpreters, lawyers, or visitors to criminal trials – the system automatically sends invitations by email or post, or notifies the prison internally (via dedicated dialogs within the application). External participants also receive a QR code, which grants them access to the building for the specified time. The QR code, in combination with an identification document, enables controlled access.
Live updates and access control
Through seamless integration with the Siemens SIPORT System TEDIS ensures that guest access is monitored at all times, recording the date and time of their identification. This allows organizers to track in real time whether participants have arrived and which checkpoints they have passed. This feature improves planning reliability and minimizes waiting times – an invaluable advantage, especially for security-critical organizations.
Flexibility through mobile use
A mobile version of the TEDIS application (PWA) is available for organizers. With a slightly reduced range of functions, it allows them to view and create appointments and check participant access.
TEDIS optimizes work processes, strengthens collaboration and ensures safety.
