To structure the complexity of developing products and software solutions, Comitas uses agile methods in project management. The SCRUM method is used as an example to demonstrate how HERMES interacts with agile development.
Comitas covers the entire project lifecycle and regulates the organization and management of the development team in the respective project phases.
Even in agile development, Comitas actively assumes project control and project management responsibilities.

The focus of the initialization phase is on developing the concept with solution options and the common objective.
From then on, the first sprints can be carried out. These can serve to verify the system architecture with a prototype (proof of concept). The detailed specification will be developed promptly and, after verification, will be handed over to development.
In the concept phase, the decision regarding the system architecture is made, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the IT system before many resources are invested in development.
The focus of agile development lies in the implementation phase. Agile development impacts partners, users, developers, and operators, and serves to ensure transparency and progress tracking, all through collaborative agreement.
The development of the solution/product takes place in periodic sprints after the respective detailed specification has been provided.
During the implementation phase, further sprints are carried out. Corrections and bug fixes are managed using agile methods until the solution is accepted. After go-live and acceptance, a hypercare phase takes place as part of change management before the solution is further supported by the support team.
