.NET MAUI welcomes open-source contributions from Syncfusion: A milestone for the developer community

The .NET MAUI community has reason to celebrate: Syncfusion, a leading provider of UI components, has announced its active contribution to the further development of .NET MAUI. The company will release a free Open-source toolkit for .NET MAUI, which includes 14 powerful UI controls.

Quick start with the Syncfusion Toolkit for .NET MAUI

Getting started is easy: Add the NuGet package to your project, initialize the controls in MauiProgram, and import the corresponding namespace into your XAML files. Extensive documentation and sample code help you get the most out of these controls.

Collaboration with Microsoft and new project templates

In close collaboration with Microsoft, Syncfusion will introduce a new project template as part of the .NET 9 release. This template combines the Syncfusion Toolkit with popular community toolkits such as... MVVM Community Toolkit and the .NET MAUI Community ToolkitIt not only offers a collection of recommended practices such as the MVVM architecture, database access with SQLite and navigation, but also shows how to efficiently implement common app development patterns.

Microsoft and Syncfusion are excited about the upcoming developments. A first look at these innovations will be offered at .NET Conf 2024 (November 12-14). The strong partnership between Microsoft, Syncfusion, and the .NET community ensures that .NET MAUI continues to grow as a leading solution for cross-platform applications.
