Efficient SQL bulk processing at Geberit: Intelligently processing product data

SQL bulk processing at Geberit with .NET Core

Geberit, one of Europe's leading providers of sanitary technology, is using Comitas to optimize the processing of large volumes of product data for quality control. The project aims for automated data processing, flexible scalability, and transparent data flows in product management.

.NET Core for high-performance XML processing

Comitas developed a .NET Core application in C# that automatically processes XML data from Stibo's STEP system. The solution transfers structured product information into a centralized SQL database – with high speed, minimal maintenance, and maximum flexibility.

Bulk inserts and business rules for data quality

Thanks to optimized bulk processing and a rule-based system for automatic data validation, inconsistent data in the target system (SQL database) is detected early and can be corrected immediately. The application supports various data sources, is fully configurable, and integrates seamlessly into SAP-based processes.

Advantages for Geberit

  • Reduced processing time thanks to a high-performance .NET architecture
  • Flexible expandability without additional development
  • Transparency through SAP-compatible logging

Conclusion

With this modern .NET solution, Comitas is creating a robust foundation and improving digital product data management at Geberit. The project demonstrates how software development and robust data processing generate real added value.

Thanks to the easily expandable interface architecture and high performance, additional data can be easily loaded into the target system and analyzed there with existing tools.
