Comitas develops digital application for Schättin engineers

Comitas AG has appointed engineers for Schättin (sch-i.ch) developed a modern specialist application that digitally maps process steps from planning to the bill of materials. The aim was to automate the previously manual work steps and create a seamless, efficient solution for engineering work in the field of overhead lines for public transport.

From AutoCAD to the digital bill of materials

At the heart of the solution is the direct integration with AutoCAD. Assemblies and structures created in AutoCAD can be exported to the new application and automatically processed further. The software breaks these assemblies down into their individual components, groups identical parts together, and generates complete bills of materials required for tenders and projects.

Modern technology and high security

The application was developed based on the Comitas Application Framework (Comitas NEO) Developed using a modern framework, this application utilizes ASP.NET Core in the backend, Angular Material in the frontend, and an SQL Server database. This provides a powerful, secure, and flexible foundation. The application can be run on customer-owned servers or in a secure Swiss cloud. As an ISO 27001 certified partner, Comitas guarantees the highest standards of data protection and information security.

User-friendly features

The solution offers numerous convenient features such as tables with filter and export options, the historization of data states, a role and rights concept, and multilingual support.
