Swiss financial services provider modernizes its B2B interface
Digital business processes only function efficiently when systems communicate reliably with each other. A Swiss financial services provider faced precisely this challenge, as its existing B2B interface to the IFJ Institute for Young Entrepreneurs had reached its end-of-life. Together with Comitas, the existing integration was modernized and simultaneously expanded functionally. The goal was to ensure the continued smooth operation of ongoing processes and to unlock additional digitalization potential.
Initial situation: Existing B2B interface reaches end-of-life
The existing interface was a key component of the digital collaboration between the financial services provider and the IFJ. With the end-of-life of the existing solution approaching, action was required. A particular challenge was that the new interface integration had to be implemented while operations continued uninterrupted. Existing processes could neither be disrupted nor unnecessarily complicated. Therefore, in addition to the technical replacement, the primary focus was on the sustainable optimization of digital process integration.
Introduction of the new interface solution
Together with Comitas, a new, enhanced B2B interface was implemented. The rollout was carried out gradually during ongoing operations to ensure the continued smooth operation of existing processes.
The new solution improves structured data exchange between the participating systems and simultaneously creates the foundation for additional digital workflows. Furthermore, the interface modernization has enabled the further digitization of previously physical process steps. This results in fewer media breaks and more efficient process control.
Greater transparency through integrated status messages
A key benefit of the new solution lies in the enhanced status feedback directly within the system. Information can now be processed and tracked more quickly. This improves not only internal collaboration but also the customer experience. All involved parties have complete transparency regarding the current processing status at all times and can react more quickly.
In addition, the exchange of messages between users has been integrated directly into the platform. Communication that previously took place via email now occurs centrally within the system. This simplifies documentation and reduces the need for daily coordination.
Modern interfaces as the basis for digital processes
This project demonstrates how modern interface integration goes far beyond mere technical migration. It creates the foundation for more efficient collaboration, transparent processes, and sustainable process digitization. Especially for business-critical systems, stable and future-proof integrations are crucial to ensure the long-term reliability of digital business processes.
